Portulaca, or Moss Rose as some people call it, is a low growing ground cover. Make sure portulaca is planted in full sun; if it is planted in shade it may not bloom. Portulaca does not like too much fertilizer – it can cause portulaca plants to have bright beautiful leaves and no flowers.
